Puddin Pop Update

Puddin Pop is doing greyt! We've had her for almost three weeks now and I'm in love (no surprise there)! She is such a sweet, sweet, girl and a near perfect greyhound :)

The first week we had her she would come up to each of us 5-6 times every night while we were sleeping and demanded attention. We only had to pet her for 30 seconds and she would go lay back down...until the next time. The second week she only did this 2-3 times per night. And now, she only does it when she's ready to get up in the morning so that's nice. If we didn't pet her though, she would try to climb in bed with us. It was almost like she was just checking to make sure we were still there and hadn't left her.

Puddin adores attention and loves to get just as close as possible for snuggle time, she definitely doesn't have any space issues like Macy does. She would totally love to be a lap dog. Our snuggle time first thing in the morning is my favorite. I lay on the floor with her every morning and she just nuzzles up to me so sweet. Overall, the dogs are all getting along - there's a little jealousy of course, but mostly normal stuff I think. Believe it not, Puddin is actually the most jealous! She wants all of the attention for herself!

In the house, there is still some growling from Macy when someone invades her personal space. Puddin listens to Macy most of the time, but sometimes pushes the limits a little too far. And my poor sweet boy has been bumped to the number three spot in the pack. Puddin and Buford both love to play with stuffies and there is always a tug of war going on between them. 9 times out of 10 Buford gives in to her and lets go. When he decides to stick to his guns though and won't let her have it, his face is just beaming with pride! They are forever running all over the house after each other when one has a toy....our hardwood floors are catching hell!

Outside is a little different story. Every time Puddin goes out, she is suddenly filled with energy and this desire to run, run, run! She tries her best to get Buford to run with her, but he usually knows better and won't.....if he does, then Puddin just tries to get him and eat his ears! Macy and Puddin go at it and worry me sometimes. Puddin loves to run in circles. Macy, ever so wise, doesn't waste her energy chasing after her. Instead, Macy waits in one place and attacks Puddin every time she comes around. I'll have to tape it some time. It's pretty amusing, and all in good fun (I think)!

Now on to some pictures -

Watching her roach never gets old, I just love it!

Such a petite and pretty girl.

Cute little ears too!

Come and get me...I dare ya!

Bet you can't catch me.

An early morning game of tug of war.

Puddin is just an all around good girl. She did great with my niece and nephew (ages 4 and 8) and likes all of the children she's met out and about. I believe for the first time, we have a truly cat/small animal safe greyhound too! My sister just got a Yorkie and Puddin had no interest whatsoever, wouldn't even look at her for a long time. Debbie sent me a picture from Puddin Pop's cat test at the kennel and I think it says it all.

More updates on Puddin to follow, I think she wants to stay at our house forever :) Now we just have to work on daddy. He hasn't had as much time with her as I have since he's been on travel for the last two weeks. He comes home today and I know the pups will be so happy to see him (me too of course)!

Welcome home to Tracy.
Puddin certainly is a cutie.
I kinda think she has found her forever home too :-)
Love the "brindles" tug of war pic!

I remember meeting Puddin' when she came up. Such a sweet, petite, pretty little girl. Stella is our fun police. If there is too much running and having fun in the yard, Stella will wait and cut them off mid-zoomies.

Wow...although I checked your blog a few weeks ago, I didn't go back far enough to see the post about you becoming foster parents for Puddin' Pop! I was sad when you fell in love with her in Florida, but she already had a home to go to. Maybe she will stay with you forever! ;)
