Birthday Cake and Ice Cream

Saturday, May 8, was Macy's birthday - she turned 6 years old!  Sadly, I'm ashamed to admit that I almost forgot her birthday.  I guess I've just been so busy (and even more tired) that it nearly slipped my mind.  I'm sure plenty of people don't even know when their dogs' birthday is - much less celebrate it - but, that's not me.  I remembered around 6 pm on Saturday...put Lauren down to sleep, gave Macy a big hug and a kiss and dashed off to the grocery store to buy chicken liver and cream cheese so I could make her birthday cake!  I popped over to Tales and Tails to get the recipe for Bunny's Frosty Paws.  I've made the cake every year on Macy's birthday, but since I felt guilty for almost forgetting, they got frosty treats too!  All in all, it was still a very Happy Birthday celebration for all the pups!

Puddin did too, but as usual she grabbed her whole piece at once (before we had a chance to break it up for them) and trotted off to her bed with it.

Buford went for the cold stuff first.  [Please excuse the ugly feeder, we really need to sand that thing or something - I've been trying to talk Tracy into just building a new one!]

You might have thought that it was Puddin's b-day, but she's just so darn cute and each picture had a different expression that I couldn't resist!  She was flashing a little smile here.  I believe they think Daddy did all of this for them, even though I'm the one that made it all - it's just that I always have picture duty.
