Buford: Ha ha, look what I got! (as he trots around full of pride)
Lauren: Hey, no fair...come back here, that's mine!
Two days later, Lauren decided to eat her first piece of dog food to teach Buford a lesson! I knew it was only a matter of time! Apparently she thought it tasted much better than the dogs do since she clamped her mouth down tight and swallowed it before I could pry her mouth open! Buford agrees that he got the better end of that deal...shoes are much tastier than kibble!
One of Lauren's favorite things to do now is to try to get the dogs food and water bowls. We go through this a lot now and she knows she's not supposed to play with them, but the temptation is just too much sometimes! Notice how Lauren signs "more" towards the end of the video too. Please excuse the QVC lady in the background - it was Sunday afternoon and there was nothing better on TV.
Yes, that's a little wet hand after one of her splashing sessions!

You're going to have some serious partners in crime if Lauren and Buford start working together instead of stealing each other's stuff! A while back, I was watching hubby's little sister, who was about seven or eight at the time, while hubby and his parents had to go out and move his elderly grandmother back here. She was obsessed with the dogs' food and treats. One day she asked me if she could eat one of the treats. I didn't think she would do it, so as I was putting things away in the kitchen I said "Yeah, go ahead!" The next thing I knew it was in her mouth. I felt myself gagging a bit, but I asked her what it tasted like. Her reply was "It wasn't too bad! It tastes like my cat's cat food." I don't want to know why she'd been eating cat food, but I hid the dog treats for the week!
Oh, she is so cute! What a good girl too. She really wanted that dog food. I can see Buford and her having a lot of fun together.
Too cute!!
