Birthday Boy

I haven't blogged in a while, but I did want to document an important milestone before too much time passes.  Our Buford turned 10 on June 20!  At times his age definitely shows and at others he's just as perky as a puppy :)  It's still hard to accept though, but I hope we have many more years of entertainment with our silly boy!

We celebrated with some posed pictures, long naps, and of course birthday cake!

 

Things out of the ordinary (like my sign) tend to make Buford a little nervous.  Puddin on the other hand wanted to get in on the fun and apparently thought it made a comfy pillow! 

I tried again that night with Tracy's help, but it was pretty late.  It was too dark in the house, but I didn't want to use a flash so the colors are very different.  I still thought I'd post a couple though....notice Pud's cute little face here too, lol!

Now on to the cake.  If you have known us long, you know that chicken liver cake with cream cheese icing is a tradition around here to celebrate greyhound birthdays!  This year I added some milk bones and peanut butter - yum!  And Lauren said they had to have some sprinkles!

 

Needless to say, the cake (and Frosty Paws ice cream) was a big hit!

 

And here's a little glimpse into our "happy family" as Lauren says:) This was taken all at once (3 minutes total), but I had to split it into two videos to get it to upload.  It also helps to know that Lauren pretends that Buford is Nana, the dog from Peter Pan.
