Our Boy is 11

Our Buford turned 11 on June 20 - and I'm just now getting around to blogging it!  He acts about as old as they come when we go to a meet and greet...whining, panting, shaking/trembling (while refusing to lay down), he just doesn't enjoy meet and greets anymore....and I've noticed that the older he gets, the crazier he becomes about anything that is outside of his normal routine.  However, aside from those two things, I really can't believe he is 11 already!  He's still very active and loves his daily walks and he still plays with his toys like a youngster :-)  I was out of town for his birthday, but we celebrated one week later which also happened to be his 6th Gotcha Day!  We made our traditional homemade chicken liver cake with cream cheese icing (topped with milkbones and crumbled bacon) which the pups will tell you is delicious!  He also got a new toy (which coincidentally we had to throw away this week after it looked like it had snowed in the family room...at least he had fun with it!) and lots of extra hugs and kisses which makes getting old not so bad after all.  I don't think he knows that he's a senior :-)
