I have an uncle who was diagnosed with stomach cancer at the end of August. He started chemo at the end of September, but just prior to that we all went to Virginia Beach for a weekend since we didn't know what the future would hold or how sick he might be after chemo. My uncle brought his dog (a Lab) and we took Puddin with us too and Lauren was thrilled! Seriously, so excited to have Puddin with us in a hotel and for the first time we let her take on the very important responsibility of walking her :) The weather was great and there were no crowds - September is definitely a good time for the beach!
We arrived on Friday afternoon, spent Saturday at the beach, and went bowling on Sunday before coming back home. Puddin wanted nothing to do with the beach itself, but she enjoyed our company all weekend nonetheless.
I went for a walk by myself early Sunday morning and sky was gorgeous!
We stopped at Panera (still one of the kids favorite places!) on the way back and enjoyed dinner on the patio with the dogs :)
