Digging Out

The process of digging out has begun - over about a 24 hour period, we got 19.5 inches of snow!!! Tracy worked very hard making paths for the pups. Every few hours, their paths were covered up again so he had to do this every time before they could go out. Our greys usually love the snow, but they pretty much want no parts of it this time - and who could blame them? I don't either!

I have been very sick over the weekend and was of no help whatsoever. I ended up in the emergency room Friday night in the middle of the storm and was diagnosed with an intestinal flu. After running bloodwork, giving me an anti-nausea medication, and lots of fluids because I had become so dehydrated, I was released to come home and stayed in bed during the rest of the storm. I think my stomach flu has run its course, and I am feeling much better today. This morning was the first time I even went outside, but I did take the camera and was able to get a few pics of the crew.

They stick pretty close to the potty paths that my husband worked so hard making for them.

To my surprise, Puddin actually ventured out. So far, she has been the only one brave enough to do this - and only for a couple seconds at a time!

Buford looks like he's really contemplating something, though what I don't know. Maybe he's just wondering what could have possibly been going through his sister's head to make her go out in the middle of that stuff!

And here are just a few other pictures of the results of the Blizzard of 2009. I still haven't made it to the front yard yet.

The 'hump' here is our 18" sitting wall that is completely covered up!

My dogs have both been brave enough to run through the snow! I was surprised.

Love your pics (as always) and hope you are feeling better!!

Yay Puddin! I love the picture of her up to her belly! She seems to be wondering what she got herself into.
Hero was definitely not brave enough to venture off the path, in fact he waited for me to leash walk him yesterday and today.
I am SO sorry to hear that you have been sick, in the middle of a snow storm no less.
I hope you are feeling better!

Glad you're feeling better. My pups usually love snow too, but this was a bit much.
