Wow, I am such a terrible blogger these days! This post was still sitting there as a draft from a couple months ago and I never published it! Obviously, it's old news now, but I still wanted to document our girl's 12th birthday celebration :)
It's hard to believe, but our little "Puddy Pud" turned 12 the day after Christmas! We continued our tradition of chicken liver birthday cake with cream cheese icing! She stayed right by our side and enjoyed lots of pets and cuddles too. Puddin had surgery at the end of November to remove a growth on her leg and we had a terrible time with the healing process so we had to keep her leg wrapped, but we unwrapped it late on Christmas day and I'm happy to report that it has finally healed! I know I have documented it on here many times, but I just love how much Lauren loves this girl and they are so sweet together! Overall, Puddin is doing well, but she has definitely slowed down in her senior years and she does seem to struggle a bit more when getting up. We still give her daily meds for her auto-immune disease, but her platelet count is regulated for the most part and thankfully we haven't had any major setbacks related to it in a while now. Happy Birthday to our sweet girl!
