Vinny turned 5 on February 16 and celebrated his first birthday with us! We made our traditional homemade chicken liver cake with cream cheese icing :) The kids always get to decide how to decorate it and this year they chose to use cookie cutters on cheese which worked out well. Vinny is the first dog we've had who doesn't like milk bones (refuses to eat them) so we stuck with cheese and bacon and all three dogs approved lol! The whole chicken liver thing is a messy, STINKY, process though and while everyone has always loved it in the past it gave our current pack some tummy troubles so we may have to re-think it in the future!
It's amazing how much this boy has already started to grey! He is the neediest dog we've ever had, but perhaps the most lovable too! Happy 5th Birthday to one of the world's biggest cuddle bugs - I hope we celebrate many, many more birthdays together!
(Woody eventually grabbed his piece of cake and hid with it between the couch and end table to eat it where he knew no one else could try to steal it! Ha ha!)
