Well, you guessed it...I found Macy's fortune! It instantly brought a smile and a few tears to my face. I can honestly say that there hasn't been a single day since we lost Macy in December that I haven't thought about her in one way or another. Much like tonight, at times I just smile and think back on so many happy memories and other times I shed a few tears because I still miss her so much. For whatever reason, I think about her a lot while I'm driving...and I often make up songs about her when I'm singing to Lauren. There are also many things that Buford and Puddin do now that remind me of her. For example, Buford has turned into a begger. He never used to beg at the table, that was always (and only) Macy's spot. Puddin will run up to our bedroom now at the first sign of a thunderstorm. She never did that before, but Macy always did. Maybe it's just that Macy wouldn't allow them to do these things before, but I like to think that she's still running the show from heaven, bossing them around and telling them what to do!
I'm so glad I kept her fortune! I took another picture of it tonight. I think there are even still some cookie crumbs on it :) I managed to get a dog hair in the picture too!
Give your hounds an extra hug and some ear or belly rubs tonight...you never know what tomorrow brings...treasure what you have.

Macy looks so cute eating her cookie. That's so true, you never know what tomorrow brings. I'll make sure to give extra some extra rubs tonight. :-)
I didn't know how you'd gotten the blog title before, but I really like that! Wow, Macy looked a lot like Bunny when she was young!
You should save the fortune somehow, frame it or put it in a shadow box with a few other special Macy things so you can keep track of it!
Very Cool!!

Awesome find :)
Love how you got the blog title.
Macy is still watching over you all...
You should frame the fortune. I love my Stanley, but I never forget that he wouldn't be here if we hadn't lost Lucas.
Awwww....I would definitely put it in a box with a few of her things.
I would have smiled and shed a few tears when I found it, too.
She was beautiful!
