Have I mentioned that it's hard to pose a toddler and two greyhounds before? Well, take my word for it, it's not easy! The whole series of pictures put together is pretty amusing though. Here's how it went..
Me: Say cheese!
Lauren: Okay, mama, like this?
Buford and Puddin: We do NOT want to be in your stupid pictures, mom!
Puddin: C'mon Buford, I know how to escape - just pull!
Lauren: Whoa, horses! (notice the carpet lift up as they pulled her chair forward)
Me: Okay, everyone, let's try it with your birthday hats on! Oh, rats, the hat I ordered for Puddin is way to big and there's no chance of her keeping it on! Oh well, Lauren and Buford can still wear theirs!
Lauren: Mama, what is this around my chin? I don't like it!
Buford: OMG, I didn't think it could get any worse! I was wrong!
Puddin: I'm so embarrassed, I hope mama doesn't put these pictures on the blog!
Buford: YOU'RE embarrassed? Look at me! I feel like a clown! (hangs head in shame)Tracy: I can't believe you're putting my poor dogs through this...this is animal abuse!
Me: Oh, don't be silly! They will be fine for 10 minutes...and they will be rewarded well too!
Puddin: Oh, wait, there's chicken!
Buford: I can't even think about that right now!
Lauren: Mama, help! Hat off!
Puddin: The chicken is gone...I'm bored!
Buford: How could you possibly lay down at a time like this?!
Lauren: This silly hat itches!
Lauren: Aha! Got it!
Buford: Get mine too, PLEASE!
Lauren: I'm still smiling, mama! Are you getting some good ones?
Buford: When will this ever be over?!
Puddin: More chicken, please!
Me: Okay, we're done...I don't think any of them will turn out good, but taking more pictures isn't going to help either!
Puddin: I sure am glad that's over! Mama, you should know better though! However, I will forgive you since there was chicken involved!
Please note that they were sufficiently rewarded with lots of chicken and of course birthday cake, too!

Oh those are so cute! Lauren will love looking at all these in the future. Taking pictures of a two-year old and two greyhounds seems a lot like taking pictures of 3 greyhounds here. No one is ever looking happily at the camera at the same time, LOL. Lauren sure is growing up. She looks like a little lady sitting there in her princess dress.

I love the series of photos, and I've had my share of them, too. This happens especially when Kuster is involved!
Haha..I love the 'i'm being beaten' greyhound look. Mine look like that when I try to get their photo with Santa every year. They hate it! What a great story though!
